80 HWY 101 Gettin' Paid To Play Top That Son...I LOVE This Game.... - Gym Rose

SEE THE GOOFBALLS FROM LOS ALTOS PICTURED BELOW (ALL OF THEM EXCEPT FOR STEVE CAZARES). THEY'RE ALL JUST JEFF LUCAS'S YES MEN AND HANGER ONS.
Found this gem, circa 1997. Enjoy!

Classic Picture of the Los Altos 1996-97 Coaching Staff in our CIF Quarter-Final Game at Gahr HS vs Kapono's Artesia Team.  Thanks, Big Dog!
JEFF LUCAS AS TOM GREEN! This Was The Last High School Game I Played. I Finished With 9 Points (7 Came In The 1st Half), 7 Assists5 ReboundsAnd 1 BlockWe Were Down By 7 Points At The End Of The First HalfBut Because Of Poor CoachingArtesia Blew The Lead Open At The Start Of The Second Half And We Ended Up Losing By More Than 40 PointsHad I Been Coaching We Would Have Won The Game(The Black Male To The Left Is Named LEX. He Was A Freshman At The Time. He Had Athletic Ability And Potential, But Because JEFF LUCAS Doesn't Know How To Connect With Blacks And Get The Most Out Of His Never Became The Standout That He Could Have Been.)

Final: Redondo 62, Los Altos 53. Trent Smith led the Sea Hawks with 14, Caike Godoy added 12, Xan* Wesley had 10. Josh Tineo led Los Altos with 16. Veritas Prep and PHoenix Prep up next.
I Was At This Game. Had Los Altos's Better Players Played (Gardner And That Mexican Porter) The Outcome May Have Been Different. At Any Rate, Redondo Has A Decent Team, But They're Lacking Height. They Compensate For This Inadequacy With G00D Guard Play. Trent** (Their Point Guard) Played Particularly Well And Did What I Asked Of Him, Which Was Penetrate At Will Because There's No One On The Los Altos Team That Can Stop Him. Anyway, After The Game Jeff Looked At ME In The Stands And Seemed To Have Mouthed The Words, "He Got Better." I Think He Said This To Assuage His Ego, Like, "Nah, He Wasn't That G00D" And Downplay The Fact That He Didn't Make The Most Of My Ability Even Though He Knows I Was Head And Shoulders Above All Of The Kids In My Age Group Growing Up And Stood Out That Lone Year I Played For Him. I'm A Loner.

*Xan's Now At Berkeley.

Many Of You Have Seen My Brother David Play In The Above Game And May Have Assumed That My Brother Gery's Game Was Similar To His. No, You're Wrong. Gery's Game Was Nothing Like David's. Why? because Gery Has A Different Personality Type Than David (It's More Arrogant, Assertive, Aggressive, And Socially Dominant) And Basketball Was Gery's Life For The First 30 Years Of His Life. So, For Instance, You See David Passing The Ball A Lot And, More Importantly, Passing Up A Lot Of Open Shots*. Would Gery Have Done That? Passed Up Open Shots? No, He Would Have Been Shooting And Attacking The Basket Like His Personality And Mindset Dictate Him To Do.

*My Father Said That Wilson's Coach (Mike Lowe) Emphasized Getting The Ball To Scott Williams So Much That It Inclined The Guards (David In Particular) To Avoid Taking Outside Shots And Looking To Score. I Agree And This Is Just Another Instance Of A Coach's Influence On The Psychology Of His Players (A Coach Can Either Boost A Player's Confidence Or Suppress It Depending On His Coaching Style And Game Strategy).

AFTER THE GAME MY BROTHER RICHIE RAN DOWN FROM THE STANDS AND SPAT ON THEN PUSHED ONE OF THE WHITE REFEREES TO THE FLOOR (ONE OF THE REFEREES THAT WAS PARTICULARLY BIASED (FAVORED DAMIEN) AND MADE PARTICULARLY BAD CALLS AGAINST WILSON). THEN AS MY FATHER AND BROTHER GERY WERE WALKING THROUGH THE PARKING LOT EFREM LEONARD ALONG WITH A COUPLE OF OTHER SPADES CAME ZOOMING THROUGH THE PARKING LOT IN THEIR CAR NEARLY RUNNING OVER MY FATHER AND BROTHER GERY. SO MY FATHER KICKED THE FRONT OF THE CAR (THE HOOD) THEN WALKED TO THE DRIVER'S SIDE OF THE CAR (THE CAR HAD COME TO A STOP) AND FIRED ON (COLD-COCKED) EFREM LEONARD WHO HAPPENED TO BE THE DRIVER WHILE MY BROTHER GERY CALLED THE REST OF THE SPADES OUT OF THE CAR (TO FIGHT THEM), BUT THEY NEVER GOT OUT OF THE CAR. THEY DIDN'T GET OUT OF THE CAR UNTIL THE PO-LEASE [POLICE] ARRIVED AND FORCED THEM OUT OF THE CAR! FIN!

MY BROTHER DAVID'S FRIEND, EFREM LEONARD!
Could I Have Played With (Competed Against) Kenny And Michael At This Age? Yes, And Had I Stayed At Oceanside El Camino Or Bishop Amat I Would Have! (I Could Play With Them As A Child And Adolescent And Had I Stayed On That Same Basketball Developmental Trajectory I Would Have Been Able To Play With Them As A Teenager And Young Adult. Nowadays I Just Play With Myself!)

40+ Inch Vertical When I Was Younger! I Hadn't Attempted A Dunk In About 4 Months Or So, So My Jumping Ability Was A Little Off. Anyway, This Was On A Legit 10 Foot Basket, But It Was A Bad Jumping Day. I, Unfortunately, Didn't Make This One (It Hit The Back Of The Rim) And My Other Attempts Were Worse. I'm Going To Try To Get Back To This Gym And Get In A Clean Dunk Next Week. I've Dunked Here Cleanly A Number Of Times. Dustin Heiman Williams, Darnell Martin, Jonathan https://twitter.com/Theyylovejohn His Buddy Kendall, Along With A Number Of Other Good To Decent Players Have Seen ME Dunk Here. Thank You To My Pinoy Brother Paul For Video Taping This!

I Was More Athletic And Had Greater Basketball Ability Than Elton In 9th Grade (I Was The Best Player At Bishop Amat's Summer Basketball Camp). Had My High School Hoop Days Gone The Way They Should Have (How People Had Expected Them To Go) I Would Have Played College Basketball Like All Of The Other Elite Players I'd Grown Up Playing With And Against.

I'M GONNA MAKE MORE GOLF VIDEOS IN THE COMING WEEKS.
I THINK I INSPIRED TONY TO WEAR THE JERSEY! WHATCHU THINK?

I Just Googled Chris's Name. He's A Professional Now. Let ME Tell You A Story About Chris! I'll Make It Short. My Golf Game Started To Head South Towards The End Of The '95-'96 Season (Shooting In The High 40s To 50s In 9 Hole Play) And The Playoffs Were Approaching, So To Decide Who Was Going To Make The Playoff Roster (I Was The 5th Boy On The Team And He Was The 6th Meaning That We Were At The Bottom Of The List) We Had Our Own Playoff And Although I Started The Match Winning The 1st 3 Holes He Came Back To Beat ME. But Guess What? Dick (The Head Coach) Kept ME On The Playoff Roster And In The Same Spot (The 5th Boy). Did That Work Well In The Playoffs? No. Because I Still Shot In The High 40s For The Playoffs. The Following Year I Told Chris I Was Going To Play Basketball* And He Doubted I'd Make The Team (He Didn't Know I Played Basketball). I Ended Up Making The Team And Chris Attended A Number Of My Games With Signs In His Hands Saying "I LUV U" And A Queer By His Side By The Name Of Ruben Ugarte*. Did You Like That Story! I Got PLENTY More Where That Came Frum, John!

*OK. So, I Was Telling You Guys About Having A G00D Freshman Season At Oceanside El Camino, Right? Well, After The Season I Was Going To Be Playing With The Varsity During The Summer Who I'd Already Been Practicing With, But That Didn't Happen Because I Moved To Hacienda Heights Over The Summer. I Then Began Practicing With Wilson's Varsity Once School Started, However, A Week Or So Prior To Tryouts I Was Jumped Off Campus Near Country Wood Park By Some East Asian Boys. Although I Could Still Play Coach Stimfel (Who Knew Gery) Didn't Allow ME To Try Out For The Varsity Team. Instead, He Placed ME On The J.V. Team With Players Who Knew I Was Superior To They, But With A Coach (Wheeler) Who Couldn't Coach His Way Out Of A Hand Bag. Anyway, Because Of My Attitude And Wheelers Inability To Deal With A Personality And Disposition Like Mine I Hardly Played That Season. So, I Went From Being The Only Sophomore Practicing With The Varsity To Not Playing On The J.V. Team While Some Wilson Students Would Shout "Put Dagampat In The Game" (Key Saucy Being One; He's Pictured In That Ontario Tournament Picture With His Index Finger In The Upright Position). In An Ironic Twist Following The Season, Our Statistician (Karen Chung (UC Davis) No Relation To Young** Chung; A Korean Girl Who'd Been Infatuated With ME Since Junior High) Told ME That Stimfel Had Wanted To Put ME On The Varsity Roster For The Playoffs, But Was Discouraged By Wheeler To Do So, So Stimfel Went With Chauncey Turner Instead Even Though Chauncey Couldn't Hold My Jockstrap (Chauncey's Pictured With Willie Allen In One Of His Instagram Photos). The Following Year I Transferred To Los Altos. I'll Tell You What Happened There Later! (Jaxson Fang https://twitter.com/jfive1029 Was Screwing Around And Throwing Up Wild Shots One Day At Our J.V. Practice And Wheeler Approached Him And Axed, "Is That How You'd Shoot In A Game?" And Jaxon Replied, "I Don't Play, So I Wouldn't Know" And Everybody Started ROWLAND (L0L)! I Pissed Wheeler Off And We All Had To Run Lines And During A Break Running Lines Brandon Matsui https://www.dws.com/en-us/insights/blog/authors/brandon-matsui/ Said To ME, "Know What The Problem Is With You? You're The Best Player Out Here And You Know It" And When He Told ME That I Knew What He Meant!)

*I'll Share A Story About Ruben Later.

**Young's Another G00K That Was Attracted To ME. She'd Been Attracted To ME Since Elementary.
1995. The Team That I Should Have Been On. The Taller, Balding White Man Is Coach Wheeler* Who Couldn't Coach Worth A Damn. Kevin Graham Is The Redhead And Had A Game Similar To Bobby Sura's. The Black Boy Next To Him Is Named Reggie (I Forgot His Last Name, But I Last Saw Him In Cerritos In 1998 With A Pilipina Who He Eventually Moved To Hawaii With). The Black Boy Beneath Him Is Named Seneca Moore (Both Brothas Played Pivotal Roles On This Team). Victor Holbrook Is Next To Seneca.

*Excuse ME, That's Flemming Not Wheeler.

OK. So, I Hardly Played My Sophomore Year On The JV Team, But There Was A Tournament At Brea High School In Which We Played Brea's JV Team In The Opening Round. While I Was Watching The Game From The Bench In The 1st Quarter I Recognized The Nigg, Uh, Excuse ME, The Black Male In The Link Above And Thought To Myself, "That's The Little Nigglette With Closely Spaced Eyes That I Would Work In NJB Games From About 3rd-8th Grade. Boy, I Haven't Seen Him In A While. So Once I Got In The Game In The 2nd Quarter I Thought To Myself, "I'm Gonna Work Him Again!" And For Awhile I Did! I Was Shaking Him, Getting To The Basket, Dropping Dimes, And Getting Easy Buckets While Talking Head To He And His Indian (South Asian) Backcourt Mate. To Stem The Flow Of My Activity, His Coaches Began To Urge Him On With Such Phrases As "You Can Stay With Him", "You're Quick Enough", And "Take Him To The Basket", So His Confidence Began To Build And In Some Cases He Did Do These Things (He Stayed With ME And Got To The Basket On ME). In Fact, We Had A Little Back And Forth Going (I Shake Him And Create, He Shakes ME And He Creates) Until Coach Wheeler For Some Reason Decided To Take ME Out Of The Game Even Though My Play Was Helping Keep Us In The Game. And Once Wheeler Took ME Out I Cussed A Few Times And Walked Out Of The Gym To A Pay Phone In Front Of The Building From Where I Called My Sister Tina And Asked To Be Picked Up! While I Was On The Phone With Her Stu Reeder (The Principal Of Wilson High School And Former Little League Coach And St. John Vianney Parishioner https://vault.si.com/vault/1991/07/22/this-is-the-life-that-jack-built-red-sox-slugger-jack-clark-looks-back-in-anger) Approached ME And Told ME That He Understood And That I Should Go Back Inside, But I Didn't (I Was Too Obstinate And Egocentric And I Would Have Lost Face If I Had). END SCENE

One Game During My Sophomore Season Stood Out And That Was Against Rowland At Rowland. I Actually Got A Decent Amount Of Playing Time And Like Usual Broke Down The Guards (A Pinoy Boy And A Brotha) And Put On A Show (I Had People In The Crowd Eww-ing And Ahh-ing As Well As Rowland's Top Varsity Players (Tony ParkerDonte Quinine, Etc. Whom I'd Played With At The Park) And Head Coach Staring** At ME In Wonder. In Fact, Stimpfel Approached Wheeler During The Game And "Clear Everyone Out And Let Pete Penetrate." I'M A LONER, LOSER GUYS AND GALS!

They Deleted The Dewayne Despain* Post. In '99 Jeff Lucas Had The Audacity To Ax Tina If I Wanted To Help Him Coach! He Had The Audacity To Ax This After Playing A Role In Fucking Up My High School Hoop Career! The Audacity Of That Cracker!

**JUST LIKE OLD TIMES (LIKE IT'D ALWAYS BEEN UNTIL MY SOPHOMORE YEAR OF H.S.)
2015

HE HAS A HARSH LOOKING FACE LIKE MY BROTHER GERY, BUT IT'S MUCH LESS ATTRACTIVE THAN GERY'S. IN FACT, HE LOOKS WEIRD TO ME! HIS BROTHER (THE FEMININE LOOKING ONE) IS MUCH BETTER LOOKING THAN HE!

OK. Many Of You Are Wondering If J Lowcash Is Going To Have A BIG, Breakout Season This Year And The Answer To That Is NO! No, He Won't Have A BIG, Breakout Season. In Fact, The Shot Above May Be The Highlight Of His Career! I'll Explain Why This Will Be The Case Later.

https://twitter.com/griffdunk/status/1237225976519471104

By His Senior Year, If J Lowcash Assumes The PG Position, Develops Handles, More Quickness, And The Ability To Shoot Off The Dribble, He May Be Able To Do What The White Boy In The Link Above Is Doing. Is Lowcash A Potential NBA Player? NO. He'll Likely Play Overseas After His 4 Years At Oregon State Is Over! The Only Way He'd Make It To The NBA Is If His Coaching Career (The Profession He'll Pursue Once His Playing Days Are Over) Takes Him There. Don't G0 There, Girlfriend!

I Think The Mexican Anchor/Analyst's Face Looks Like A Mouse's Face! And I Also Think That J Lowcash Will NEVER Again Make A Game Winning Shot Like That! What Do You Think? Feel Free To Share?

Anyway, I Randomly Came Across A Newspaper While Here In 2016 And Saw This Article. I Then Returned Home And Scanned It. I Forgot About It Until Recently. Now I've Decided To Post It Here. I'd Never Heard Of Him And I Think Most Other People Haven't Either. Read About Him.
